CV Lasso
Use our CV lasso to make pulling your broken or torn CV axle easier than ever. This is our take on what a few others offered in the past but no longer make. It is the reason the company exists.
Once, when it's ready. Nothing else.
Store opens after the 2027 trip is announced. What you pick above tells us how many to make.
How it works

Loop it
Slip the loop over the shaft and snug it up behind the inner joint, between the boot and the cup. Pull the slack out so the rope runs straight.

Load it
Turn your deadblow sideways and push the head through the paracord handle loop. That turns the whole rig into a slide hammer.

Yank
Grab the handle and pull outboard, sharp. The hammer slides down the rope and hits the loop, and the joint pops clear of the snap ring. Two or three pulls, usually.
Description
We tried to buy the only CV puller on the market. They took the order and couldn't fill it; it had been discontinued for years. So we made one out of climbing rope.
Our lightweight lasso is designed for trail repairs. Made from climbing rope and climber's stitches because they are more abrasion-resistant than synthetic winch cable, which tends to fray. The lasso is finished off with a paracord handle loop for extra yankin' power.
We recommend using a deadblow. Slip the head in the loop sideways and you have an improvised slide hammer.
Details
Trail rated. This product is the reason the company exists. We wanted CV lassos for the trail and nobody was making them.
Designed in Eliot, Maine.
Overall length 48 inches.
Previously made by C4RS, Apache Offroad and a few others, none of whom still do.
FAQ
Do they really work?
They do indeed. We have used these to replace CV axles on our own vehicles.
Tips on how to use it?
Use the biggest deadblow or sledge you have for the easiest pull. We usually use a 4 lb sledge or deadblow; they are small but powerful.
Will it fit my axle?
As long as you have an IFS rig, it will do the job.
