Suzuki Samurai
1986–95

Factory gearing, tires, angles and brakes for the Samurai, and what the usual upgrades do to it. Every number is from the maker's own figures unless the calculators say otherwise. A few figures here are still waiting on a factory document; the calculators mark them.

Makers almost never publish angles, bottom heights or how far a bumper tucks, so these fill in as owners measure them. Measured yours? Add it on the rig page and every owner of this Samurai sees how it does on their tires and lift.

Every calculator, set up for the Samurai

Source: archive.org. The Samurai transfer case high range is 1.409:1, not 1:1, so the stock 3.73 axles give an effective high-range drive ratio of about 5.25:1 and low range is 2.268 on top of 3.73; calculators that assume a 1:1 high range will read wrong. Sidekick 5.12 third members are a common swap.
